I need help connecting my Laptop to my TV. Please help!?

Hi,

I am trying to connect my laptop to my old CVT TV, and I can't quite make it work...

I am using Windows 7.
I am using a VGA-to-S-Video converter.
Image is black and white
Image is entirely skewed.

Please leave as detailed of a response as possible.
