About a year ago I bought my torker u-district for $350 and since then I have done a lot to my bike. I'm looking for a new frame soon! My torker frame is a bit small and to be honest it limits the colors I can have on it to yellow and...yellow
I want a frame in the $250-$350 range and a couple framesets have caught my eye.
1) Mission Bicycle's (SF) Valencia Frame Set for $250 (matte black) or $300 for any color you want.
2) Windsor Clockwork from BikesDirect.com for about $300 (full bike)
I am a little sketchy about bikesdirect because I don't know how well their services are, but they are real nonetheless. I like the windsor frame too and it will be cheaper for more parts (because they don't have a sales tax or shipping rate).
So I need to know if
a) the windsor frame is worth it? is it a good frame for commuting? or is it a downgrade compared to Mission Bicycle's frame/ my torker?
b) how is bikedirects service?
c) which frame do you think is better?
note: I love riding fixed gear, it is fun and I commute everyday to school, so my bike means a lot to me.
Thank you!
