Can anyone please answer my questions? I am kind of freaking out
about this. I had left rotator cuff surgery on 7/7/09 and the block they put on the nerve for pain control worked really wierd and the anesthesia moved to all the wrong places. only part of my arm was nurab, but half my neck, face and ear was nurab. i was having difficulty breathing and swallowing after i got home and the hospital told me to go to one of the urgent care centers right down the road from me to get my oxygen levels checked due to me having asthma also. while there the doctor took a chest xray to rule out anything wrong with my lungs due to the general anesthia. i have degenerative disc/joint disease and had a cervical fusion at c5-6/c6-7 5 1/2 yrs ago and lurabar fusion at L4-5/L5-S1 on 5/21/09. when they took the chest xray yesterday, the doctor noticed that the plate in my neck is broken!!!! i have had a lot of pain in my neck the last couple months but it was just a bit worse than i have had since the fusuin 5 yrs ago so didnt think too much about it. I called my neuro and they have not called me back. what does this mean?? will i have to have surgery again? am i a ticking time borab? i dont have a clue when this happened..could the doctor be wrong? help, i am trying not to panic, but it worries me a lot. Has anyone had broken hardware problems??
