what r u taking pic's of? people or objects?
people plain solid color clothes photograph best.
take 4 pic's of each shot i had a teacher once say that out of a roll or 24 film maybe 2 pic's will turn out Perfect and that's if ur lucky. so in the new age of digital snap away and delete the bad ones.
don't be afraid to play with ur Camera settings. they are there for a reason. sitting at home take a pic of something and change the setting take the same pic again and again with diff. settings. u would be surprised the difference it makes.
cloudy over cast days make amazing picture op's
the lighting is Perfect.
every picture u take doesn't have to have the person looking at the Camera and smiling to be a good picture.
play around and be creative. take the shot with ur Camera on the ground looking up at the person standing or tower above them get on their level.
take a picture of urself in a rear view mirror. the shot is amazing its a picture inside a picture there u r loud and clear with the amazing sky around u.
