I need experience in sports psychology, but i don't know where to go for help?

I want to become a Sports psychologist after college but i only have experience in sports medicine in high school, i wouldn't know how to began with my choice of experience.So should i particapate in sports medicine in college and work from there or find a psy. who knows about sports psy.and work under him/her for guidance. thanks for your help
