ok, i had my ipod stolen, and my generous friend gave me theirs, because its cracked. I asked for it because i have a warranty i bought a month ago, and it covers one cracked screen. now, my question is, do they check serial numbers? because i could get a new ipod.
 
pretty sure they only give u a new ipod.
Don't worry about it, if they don't give you a new ipod, nothing really happens.
No harm no foul, right?
Also, it doesn't hurt to try.
