I need advice on something sticking out of my chest.

I have a strange hard pointy bump under my skin, just below where my ribcage joins together but its not touching my ribs. It feels almost bone like and it showed up just yesterday. When I take a deep breath it sticks out alot, it also makes my chest feel weird, its the same feeling of having a lump in your throat but instead down below my ribcage.
I know I need to have a doctor look at it but I am an out of work immigrant and can't afford to go to the doctor, and no community organizations will help me because I am white. I have no idea what it is, but its painful.


Does anyone have any clue what could be the problem?:confused:

I'd really like any advice at all.
 
this actually sounds like what you are actually feeling is the xiphoid process? if you look this up,and see the anatomy,it would show you just what and where this is located. its also called the 'sternal notch' too. this IS NORMAL,and supposed to be there. i really don;t know what actual purpose it severes but it is part of our normal anatomy. FB
 
Yes I looked that up and thats exactly what it is! I also have an inflammatory cartilage disease and that together with the Xiphoid Process caused more pain then what I immagine a normal person would experience!
