We had a car, an Rx-7. We put it on consignment at a car shop. We ask for 8,000 and they kept whatever amount above the 8 grant that they sold the car for. They have had the car for 3 months. We decided to stop in and get the GPS we realized we left in the glove box. I got a weird feeling going in there. They has us sit on the couch until the office manager came back from lunch. He walked in and said "oh yea, we sold your car yesterday and I was just going to call you as soon as I got back from lunch". So our car is gone and so is the GPS (whatever, as long as the car is sold, I guess, we shouldn't have left it in the glove box). But then he said bring me the title and I will get you your check. Should we really give these people the title and take the check? What happens if it bounces? They have the title, that must mean they now own the car, right? It could have been a coincidence. But they also said they shipped our car out of state, how did they ship our car Without the title? I have an odd feeling. Any advice?
