I need a small phone with: calendar/planner, usb, camera

My Siemens A56 has been fair, but it's his time to go. I'm on a Rogers pay as you go plan, I believe Rogers uses GSM (sim cards).

Now that I'm working, my schedule is hell. I need a phone with decent reminders, planner, and calendar related stuff, and I need something that has good PC sync abilities. I don't care what software it can sync with, as long as the software is solid and available for free/purchase.

I need a good camera phone. The photos I've seen from RAZR phones are horrible. I would like something at least 1mp that compares to 1mp cameras. I find most phones that advertise as 1mp cameras are either horribly interpolated or just have really cheap sensors.

I would like USB or bluetooth connectivity for downloading photos/syncing my address books and whatever. There's no way I'm paying data fees just to transfer photos from my own phone.

I would prefer something running on windows CE or an open source platform that is easy to develop for. I would like to write my own applets for small things in C++, CS, or Java. As well, a phone running on standard/open software will likely have a larger collection of available applications/games from the start compared to phones that run some proprietary siemens firmware.

Finally, the most important thing: a small phone. Something thin that can fit in my pocket that doesn't make me look like a 12 year old with pockets stuffed full of PSPs and DS'. Width/height isn't as big a concern for me as thickness is. I'd like to keep it under 0.5 inches thick if possible.

Having taken a look at a few of the solutions available at local retailers, I like the Moto Q the best, however I know there must be something better out there, retail phone outlets usually have a horrible selection.

My spending limit is about $500USD, but I would like to consider the cheaper solutions first. Preferably, I would like to spend around $300USD.

I'm near downtown Toronto if that makes a difference.

Have you considered a Treo? The 650 can be found under $250 and has all the features you seek except the MP camera, but the vga camera on the treo gets very good reviews for picture quality especially in low light conditions compared to most other vga camera phones. The Treo's also have a good calendar, bluetooth, etc. and the newer 680 and 700 models can be had at the top of your price range.
