the country.? I need an author that affected the country in the past. It can't be American unfortunately and Non-British preferred.
It has to be not American and it has to have affected the country. Can you also please post in what way it affected the country?
 
A Thousand Splendid Suns and The Kite Runner by Khaleed Hosseni. Not very historical, but I feel it has impacted American citizens, at least among America's youth
