I have a whining noise from my car that gets louder with higher revs, i have been told to use a noise suppressor but there are so many about (10a, 20a,50a,,) and differnet styles of where to install!
i have a 1996 ford escort 1.6i 16v, with a pioneer head unit and a fli 4 channel amp. help please?

The reason your getting a whining noise is because of the sound & power conflict (on amp). Make sure that your power cable & ground cable are connected properly. The best way to wire an amp is to run your amp power wire down the same side of the car as your battery. Run your RCA & speaker wire on the opposite side to avoid conflict of RCA & power wire. When having this problem typically its due to poor RCA's. If you think you have crappy RCA's buy a better insulated set and run how i described. Hope this helps.

i had the same problem i got a ground loop and stillheard it a lil then i re grounded my amp wire to a more legit ground and scraped away all the paint and ta da no whining so try to re ground your amp and use proper 8 gauge wire this should fix the problem
