Im not the tallest of guy but im strong and i need some way to channel that into something good for self defense, I wanted to take Krav Maga but there's not a place i can study near me, i mainly need this to defend my self from larger opponents and need it to be powerful so i can take them out quickly, i have been in shotokan and learned some basics of krav maga, so is there a martial art that is quick and powerful that you would suggest, and i am not looking to start fights, i have honor and discipline.

alot of the other styles like krav maga are hard to come by unless your in a good location. Systema, Jeet Kune Do (if you find the right place), kapap (very hard to come by in the United States), Hagannah. If you can't find one of these I would look into simply cross training in multiple styles, most gyms will offer a month free or something like that, maybe train in one style for a couple months, or until you get the basics down, then switch it up and go try a different style. Alot of self defense stuff you can learn from a book, or DVD as long as you have a training partner. Biggest thing is learn how to and be willing to fight dirty. (eye gouges, throat striking, groin striking, improvised weapons, ect ect)
