I need a current event that relates to history!?

Ok so it's late and I'm tired and I need this ASAP so please help me out here people. I need a current event article (2011 obviously) that relates to history before the 1900s. And I have tons of other hw I'm working on right now and I don't have time to search for articles so please help me out guys. I just need the link to the article and I need you to explain to me how it relates to history. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

This is really hard because from 1980's untill now the world has changed so drastically that there isn't much in common of the period before 1900's and 2011...
