We dissolved Ferrous Ammonium Sulfate in water to get Iron II..
Then we added Iron II to Sodium Hypochlorite NaOCl (bleach)...
We stained a filter paper with coffee and tried to bleach the coffee using it (Sodium Hypochlorite with Iron II), but it didn't bleach well...
Now I need to write a lab report...so I need to know what reacted with what to produce the new bleach...how can I know that? How does the chemical equation look like when Sodium Hypochlorite reacts with Iron II?
