i need a 5500 rear cover!!!

So i'm a mechanic and i figured a 5500 was the perfect phone to use. Then i looked and found my camera lens cover on the rear is cracked dead center.

What are my options of replacement? would this be covered under my 1 year warranty from nokia? I picked it off ebay 2 months ago.

looks to be 22$ shipped in USD. but i hate buy from UK cause of all the scams and junk.
 
ouch! sorry to hear that... your 5500 probably took a real pounding for its lens cover to be broken... do let us know how it goes...

The only catch though is that you'd have to order the entire housing since they don't sell the back cover on its own.
 
I work on cars all day long. the phone is in my pocket. Only the rear glass was shattered. I had no clue how. I'm getting the whole housing because i have a feeling the front lens is gonna fall the same faith shortly. I love this phone, extremely small s60. It beats carrying around my N-gage or 6620. this isn't the first time something like this has happen. I had an MDA a little while ago and this is the outcome...


so obviously i'm hard on my phones. I wonder if anyone has a guide to disecting 5500. I guess i might have to do be a pioneer in this.
 
I've thought about using low end phones, i had the v300 for a week and a razr for a week and i just cant stand them. too boring and useless compared to a S60.

i dont consider a 5500 a high end phone... I bought it because i love s60 and wanted a phone that has a chance to survive. And well this phone is get and it does hold up pretty well. The N-gage holds up a good fight too. I still have it and everything on it still orginal and not replacement OEM.



the MDA was completely babied. it sat in my toolbox all day long. And well i had it in my pocket about the 5th day i had it leaving work i go home to charge it and i see the screen completely cracked. took it apart replaced it and 3 months with that all good then sold. the SDA i had was a trooper.
