...this term? My course consists of a combination of lectures, small group tutorials and seminars. Due to some personal problems, I didn't attend most of my small group tutorials during the first term. I went to lectures and seminars, but lectures do not have registers while tutorials do.I am worried about being asked to leave once I show up.
The university has not contacted me about any problems due to missed attendance and I was not taken off the course or prevented from sitting exams for the first term, which took place last week. So I am fairly sure I have no problem formally. I have paid for the coming term as well. But I am (extremely) nervous of how individual tutors may react when I show up. I am afraid of being asked to explain myself, in front of other students. because the reasons are very personal and I do not want them to know about. Will it be alright if I just told him/her that I couldn't attend due to personal problems, or should I lie?
Could they ask me to leave, even after I have paid for the classes?
I'm in the second year of my degree.
