...think she likes me? I'm sorry it's so long. I'm a writer so it's in my nature to write so much. If you want you can skip down 2-3 paragraphs.

So here's the story:

Yesterday I walked out the door with expectations of dancing with my best friend, E. I really liked her, but she just couldn't like me. So I wanted to try and impress her. My dad drove me to the school, since I'm only a Freshman and don't have a license. I met up with my friend Sam, just waiting for people to arrive. Then my better friend, Steven. Not long before me and him took the group out to the dance floor, and we were the first to start dancing. La de da.

So I'm also keeping an eye out for E. She got there about an hour into the dance because her parents were being really slow. Of course, she's a freshman as well. So she came out and found me, then dragged me away to go dance with a different group.

I knew most of the people there, though we weren't good friends at the beginning of the night. So, the girl I met there, we'll call her J, I mistook as one of my other friends Hannah at first. Just without the glasses on. So the first words I ever said to her was: "Hey, um, who are you?" But she laughed at it and told me her name.

A slow song came on. The group kinda broke apart around there. Me and my friend Sean stood together. He said, "I dare you to go up to some random girl and ask her to dance. If you do that, I will." I didn't really thing that was fair but I looked over to J and nodded. I didn't say a word and I walked up to her and asked if she wanted to dance.

To my surprise she said yes. My mistake, I took both of her hands in mine. It was kinda hard to dance like that, she laughed and put her hands on my shoulders, I remembered what E said earlier and put mine on her waist. Truthfully I'd never slow danced with a girl before. I know, i know, sad. So we talked, got to know each other better, then the song ended.

After that I kinda clung onto the group and stayed there. I got to know J's friend, B, who taught me a few pretty cool moves like the pretzel, overall it was pretty fun. The next slow song came on and me and J did the same thing. We attempted small talk. After awhile the silence in between started to calm in me and it didn't feel awkward for me at all. I don't know about her. After the song she left to go find her friends.

I found a group nearby, which E had left to, and started dancing with them. After awhile i went to go find Steven. On the way (the dance was 30 minutes until it was over) I noticed J sitting on the floor near the group Steven was at. I pretended to no know she was there and started dancing with everyone.

I followed my friends advice and "danced like no one was watching." Me and my friend Brennen had a dance off. And during all this, I noticed occasional glances from J.

Once she stood up I acted like I noticed her and walked over to that section of Steven's group. It was a big group, maybe 20 people were in it. We talked then I walked her over to the coat check to get her stuff, then outside. She gave me a hug and said she's see me at school on Monday.

Here's something interesting.
She said she wanted to be a Journalist when she graduated, and this surprised me, because my dream has been to become an author. We both wanted to write, and you all know that's not a very popular subject.

Here's the catch: I had just barely met her last night.

Do you think she likes me?

It sounds to me like she likes you. When us girls act like that we are flirting. I say get to know her better and ask her out. good luck hope i could help.
