I met my brother in law's ex-wife a few days ago for the first time after 6

months, how should I react? She came up to me and hugged me and asked me how everythings going, since we haven't seen eachother since last summer and we used to be close. She still keeps in touch with her ex-husband because they have 3 kids together so for the sake of the kids. I'm not sure how "close" of a relationship I should keep with her. Should I just be nice to her on a hi-bye relationship? Would that make my husband or his brother uncomfortable?
