i may have been seeing things. Do '3 wheeled bicycles' exist for adults?

I need to get sum exercise and I dont wanna buy a normal bike. And those Trike things look extreme for me!

yes they do make the trikes for adults.. there is a bike path where i live and many people actually ride the 3 wheel bicycles

Yes they do they are called trikes. You can buy them custom made. You can even buy ones that you peadel with your hands and not your feet.
