I haven't seen it as yet hopefully it is better than the TV drama all those episodes and for what a meeting of Charles Ryder and Nanny bloomin' Hawkins.

The TV series is absolutely brilliant - a classic.
The film is very very mediocre.

I agree with you - the TV series is totally wonderful.
(I have a boxed set of all the episodes. )

The film is very poor by comparison. Too much is missed out.

I felt exactly the same about Pride and Prejudice.
