let people think as they wish. u're the only one that can live ur life, so it's up to u to like what u like and dislike what u dislike. not a single person is the same, even if we may share similar ideas or may like similar things, in the end, not everything we like every1 else around will like. those people around u may never understand u, but u must let them know that that's part of who u r, and if they don't accept u for who u r, they are the ones missing out. that u know who u r and what ur capable of, so they shouldn't be concerned about what kinda shows u like to watch. they don't have to watch things they don't like nor will u force them. just be urself. i know sometimes u may get annoyed by what people say, but because we are ALL different, it's almost impossible to understand one another... that's why many people will criticize u, many people will think u r in the wrong, many people will try to discourage u.... but the decisions u make in life are urs to make and urs alone.
so my best advise i could give u is: don't take everything other people has to say about u, there are many things u will learn from others some will be positive, some will be negative. if u know u won't benefit from some of them... just ignore them, and use ur own ideals to open up ur own paths, because in this world we all walk different paths and it's up to us to decide which direction to take. always be urself, and try to get along with those around u. those that can't accept u for who u r, u r better off without them. of course, i'm not saying to be unfriendly to every single people that criticize the fact that u like those kinda shows, but i'm saying that u shouldn't pay them too much attention, because i'm sure that every1 has 1 or 2 things they wouldn't tell others even if their life depended on it because they would feel ashamed to reveal those tihngs... and the reason they would feel ashamed is because we live in a world where society as a whole is very close minded... there are many things still in this society where people think as though as we were still in the ice age or something. so try to change their opinions, if that doesn't work, then just ignore them and try to find other people u can get along well with.
