i lost my sim card, and so vodafone sent me a new one, however i have no signal

new sims usually take time to be activated by the service provider. you may wait for a maximum of 24 hours if it does not start operating then contact vodafone again to resolve the matter.

wherever .? does anyone have any idea why this may be? i've tried other sim cards in my phone so it shouldnt be the phone.
