i look so weird with contacts!?

i just got contacts and i feel like my eyes look so different. everyone tells me i look the same but they must not see it. i like my eyes so much better without the contacts. when the contacts are in my eyes look rounder and weirder. has anyone ever heard of this happening? is it just me? and if its not just me how to i make my eyes look normal again
