"I look into my lover's eyes and see therein my grave." - short poetry?

I've tried my hand at poetry before and always came up rather lacking. But this, this tiny little snippet, this one-line wonder - it came to me this evening and I realized it was perfect. It stated a whole plethora of things that may well convey to the reader, at least in some abstract sense. I never really thought much of short poems, but sometimes, less is most. The poem again is this:

"I look into my lover's eyes and see therein my grave."

For the rhythm, it could also be written with a line-break between "eyes" and "and".

I wouldn't have even thought this to be poetry ten years ago. But something about it feels like poetry, it "clicks". Does this make any sense? :-?

Just querious... :-?

Kind of says your love for them will be the death of you?

or

Your love for each other is dead?

Keep writing keep a notebook with you so if you feel inspired or a line you can jot it down
