...he was taken Advantage? of. he met a young women here she told him that she loved him after 7days and asked to get married to him. or she would have to go back to the Philippines. Long story short after 8yrs. she left him. But not before she had him pay to bring over the 2 brother the parents and having him pay for her school and took 75,000.00 from his savings account. he is 70yrs old. and heart broken. she really just used him for a green card and to bring all her family her and school.
 
Thats sad, really. I am sorry that your father had to go thru that.
However, what are you going to get a lawyer for? Legally, she is his wife.

It happens alot more than you would think, Why else would a young colleged aged woman want a 70 year old man? Hello- you should of done something sooner. There is crap you can do now.
 
They were legally married regardless of the circumstances. Your father agreed to her terms and requests during the marriage and the marriage failed, not uncommon.

Your father knew what he was getting into. CA is a community property state, he should have established a prenup agreement before he married her. If she took funds out of a mutual account while they were together, it's probably long gone.

If he needs a divorce attorney, look in the yellow pages, they're all over the city.
