i live in an apartment building and have mold on the walls around my bathroom

window, all that the landlord? wants to do is scrape it off and repaint it! Im not a genius and i know you have to break that wall down and put a new one! but i cant say nothing because im a women and to men what do women know! right? neways, should i do it myself or should i contact some office with higher authority to handle this situation? and whats the bad part is that i have a 2 yr old son and im afraid this could get us sick! what should i do?
