Hello everybody! I've heard so many great things about this forum and its community. Basically everyone that I asked pointed me to this direction, so here I am!

I'm in need of a new cellphone since my old one is a Nokia 3650, and it's in need of a replacement

I am pretty clueless when it comes to cellphones, so I guess it would be best if you could just ask me questions, and then I'll answer.

Here are some basic ideas tho:

-Around $250 (preferebally lower than $250, obviously not retail price, as I don't mind buying from eBay or other online stores)
-Has to support T-Mobile ToGo (pre-paid) (as I still have around $100 in there)

Now, I cannot stand phones that have rounded corners, or the ones that have a rounded overall look. In contrast, I love the Sony Ericsson style a lot, and the Panasonic VS series design as well for flip phones. I dont want something everybody and their grandmas have *cough* RAZR *cough*

I don't really care if it's flip, slide, or just regular (candybar?) phone, as long as it looks cool, and has features such as loudspeaker, MP3 ring tone, and camera.

So please, would u kindly suggest few choices, and maybe I'll have my new cellphone soon!

Thanks!

p.s. What's a good place to buy new cellphones online besides eBay? How's the credibility of http://welectronics.com/gsm.shtml as their prices are pretty good?

How about the Sony Ericsson V802SE (I think it's called a couple of other things, but that's its Japanese name)? "Looks cool" is totally based on personal opinion, but it's got what you are looking for (although the Japanese version doesn't support native MP3s, so look for a Chinese or other foreign version) at the price you want (if you look on eBay- at least last I checked the price was OK).

Always be careful when buying from ebay, I almost paid for a phone at a great price, but then did a search and found that the phone was being sold by someone else as well - the exact same phone, using the same picture. I asked the seller for proof that the phone was his (i.e. a photo of the phone with a specific message written next to it) and he declined - obviously a scam.

Well- on eBay I found that phone for about $150 once. I also found that same phone for about $250 from physical stores in my area. Also, a common practice on the eBay in my local area is that people will give their addresses in the auction so that you can check their store (and the product) in person (I think it evolves from an aversion to pay large amounts of money to an unknown person- paying in person after inspecting the product feels safer). Of course I'm in China, so prices are approximate, and may not carry over to the US.

How is K600 comparing to K750? Is it worth the extra $100 for the better camera on K750?

The V802 (also kown as Z800i and V800) looks really good! But unfortunately I can't find a new one on eBay, and they are all branded by Vodafone, which I believe is an European carrier? Where can I get an unbranded new phone like this?

I think I changed my mind on the price. Since the smart phones are eventually going to take place of the regular phones, I might just as well buy a cheaper (below $200) phone, and sell it, and get a new smartphone (the price would drop by then) next summer when I prepare to go to college. Tell me if my idea is stupid.
