acting disorderly,? which follows is that officer Crowley arrested him for being Black.
The officer asked him to step outside which makes sense since the officer had to be careful for his own safety.Gates refused, and this began the incident which led to Gates' arrest.
The officer did what he had to do to end the problem which was to arrest him for disorderly conduct. Now the charges are dropped which to me sends out a wrong message, that one can be disorderly and yell at a police officer who represents the law and have the charges dropped. I know some cops are not nice, but the law is the law and I think the officer did his job.
No one is above the law. Do you think the officer was only doing his job?
