I know this but...Can Cricket block WAP to flashed phone???

Ok I have a question and I already know the answer but had to put it out here anyway.
I have a friend who has a phone thats reprogramed to Cricket. Says that Ciricket told him the reason why his WAP isn't working is because Cricket told him THEY put a block on the internet.
KK so someone right me if I am wrong but that sounRAB like massive BS to me. If you are paying to have unlimited internet on your account they can't put a block on it especially since this is a flashed phone right??
I wonder if anyone else has been told this or heard of Cricket telling this to a customer??? Just curious......
 
It would be easy for Cricket to flag his ESN and deny him WAP access: How else do you think they allow certain phones WAP and others none? It's like having the $30 plan and wondering why WAP is disabled on your account.

The real question is WHY they would deny him WAP if it's on his account.
 
ive notice on some customers when they have like 20 and over late payments their fully flashed phones dont work too perfect. for example i had a customer with 27 late payments and i did a moto q for him and it didnt log on the web at all, so i had him start a new a account and the phone worked perfectly.

yeah he has the plan that has unlimited everything. I told him that he prolly neeRAB to go in and check his settings to make sure that whoever flashed his phone has all the values right.
And Berry thanks I didn't even think about them flagging his or anyones ESN.
 
They don't block WAP. They do block certain types of internet traffic such as POP email and IM such as yahoo, msn, etc (except for AIM). Cricket doesn't care about people activating non-Cricket flashed phones (although they won't outright admit to it). They just want to get paid and get more subscribers. :D
 
Actually with how we do things here in omaha ne, they have blocked and removed wap from phones that have been flashed, they also tell people that phones cannot be done fully, i have seen this time and time again, now as far as their late payments thing, i have over 30 late payments, i have had my service for almost 3 years now, and i have full functionality, but then again, im also still on the cricket connect plan, i haven't changed my plan since i had it.. but yeah, cricket has nixed some peoples wap and mms,, best way we have found to get around this, is to list the phone as one that cricket does support, and try to work around it that way..

Ahahaha yea I've been with them nearly 4 years and had close to 10 late pays...hey I burn holes in my pocket so I can understand with this economy being late a lot. Anyways yea just have him tell them it's a Razor.
 
Lol Moo, dont forget, cricket didnt do the 15 late payment up until recently :) so not too bad there fer a bit :P
