financial backers. $$$? I love Michael Lang for what he did. He was and is the alpha of "cool". I'm 33 and I just saw the documentary on the History Channel called "Woodstock Now and Then" and it was amazing.

I'm totally in love with the feel of the original 1969 event. I am in awe and highly impressed with Michael Lang. At one point in the beginning of the documentary a reporter is asking Lang about how he deals with problems that come up when putting together an even like this and he's just grinning and chillin. You can see that he's very easy going even though he's working hard preparing for the 3 day event. It inspires me, a young afro-american female, to chill out and take things easy and not to let hard times rattle me.

Anyway, I'm digressing. My only question about Woodstock is whether or not the two guys who financed the event got paid. It seems a little unfair if they didn't make money off of this event. I really hope they made money and took home some of the pie from all of the "Woodstock" fall out.

Does anyone know if the backers of 69 Woodstock made any money?

I hope they did because the event would not have happened without them. I also hope Michael Lang is ridiculously happy with dozens of children and was married only one time. Oh and I hope he's rich. He deserved it for bringing on Woodstock.
