I just want to publish my book?

I am writing a book, and I am having a lot of fun with it!

But I REALLY want to publish it! I want to have an actual book in my hands with my name on it!That would be so cool! Sure, it would be even better if I could sell it and get money from it. But I mainly just want to publish it for myself. So I am not looking to make money, just to publish/print my book.

What are some good, cheap, ways I can do this? I have heard of lulu.com and it seems like an OK way to do it, but are there any other ways? And about how much would it cost to do it?

Well my grandpa owns a business of publishing that just came out! =D He is going to give me the address and everything so once he does that I will tell you immediately!

Honestly, I went through the whole process that you're doing now about three months ago, and your options are limited. Basically, lulu.com is your best bet. They're guaranteed to publish your book, and they're a big enough name that you know they're not going to steal your money.

The cost will depend on what style of book you want. Lulu has a "Cost Calculator" on the site that lets you punch in whatever you want, and it'll tell you the cost. Plus, if you're willing to go the extra mile and get an ISBN number, the site'll put your book on Amazon.com, which means that it'll be up for sale.

Finally, if you DO decide to use Lulu, probably the best part is that it's a Publish On Demand site, so you're still free to send your manuscript out to publications. And why not do that? Send a copy out to as many publishing companies as you can think of. Who knows, one of them may make you an offer.
