I ordered my phone from the customer service line, but I told the lady that I wanted to keep my number, but didn't want to be phone less for 3 days while I waited for my new phone. She said she would issue me a temporary number and that when I activate my phone, I can call to switch it to my old number. So I have two questions:
1. When I get my phone, do i activate it first, and then call the customer service line to see if they can change the number? or call them before i activate it?
2. Will activating the new phone with my old number automatically terminate my contract with verizon?
