Korean alphabet is incredibly easy to read / learn. I had a basic understanding after I left. It's based around two squares in the shape of the number 8. Most everything is a variation of that. The alphabet was designed by the (Japanese?) for the Koreans because they considered them intellectually inferiour and incapable of being smart so they made it incredibly easy to learn and really basic.
