Fire Under the Snow

Can anyone tell me what it is? I am seriously freaking out...
The past few weeks my navel area has hurt, like something was stabbing me in my stomach. It wasn't severe, just a minor nuisance. I just assumed it had something to do with my surgery I had a few years ago (Appendectomy, they cut open my belly button).
Last week I noticed what looked like hair growing out of the centre of my belly button. The hair was white, and long (it was noticeably sticking out of my belly button). It has been bothering me since, so I googled it. One website said I should be able to pull it right out, so I just tried.. When I pulled, I pulled really hard, and this black looking thing came out. The hairs are attached to it, and the black part is what was attached to my skin. It was in the deep part of my belly button. I am seriously freaking out, does anyone know what this could be? I tried to take a picture, but it came out to blurry. I saved it, to show my parents in the morning, but I can't sleep because I am panicking. Does anyone have any ideas?
I would also like to note - since I have pulled it out my belly button has a weird feeling in it, a stinging feeling almost
