How can I feel better? I just had surgery today. My nose is fine, but my throat is swollen and covered in sores from the tubing. I can't swallow, and I constantly feel like I have to spit (a symptom I had before the surgery). But I can't spit cuz I spit up blood from the sores. My uvula is swollen, resting on my tongue, and covered in sores. Cold drinks don't help too much. Warm does a little, but I always have to spit. I've drank salty soup to try to heal the sores and it seemed to help, but I need something more.
The liquid pain meds don't help, and I've used mouth wash for sores n it didn't do anything. Please help. I can't contact my doctor for a few days. I need help.
