i just had a chemical peel

i had a chemical peel 2 days ago and my skin is starting to shed a lot. the new skin, where the old has peeled off, is kind of.. shiny. is this normal? i'm just worried because it feels so tight.

also, any suggestions as to help the peeling or to prevent scarring? thanks!
