i just got a sidekick id and the battery just died.......?

and i wanted to know does it make any sound when u plug it up to the charger when it is completely died. and if so can it come on while its charging cuz mines didnt make a noise r light up r nothin when i plugged it up. and if its on the charger can it come on....cuz mines didnt lol and i just got it. its completely died does it take time. thanks
