I just got a refund check from Financial Aid in the mail today, and I was wondering is the money that I received for me to use on myself? Or will I owe this money back or anything? Or is it supposed to be used for something..

depends on what it is.. if it's from a scholarship, then no, but you may have to do them a favor later on in life (work for 2 years in a 'at risk' school district, etc)

if it's a grant/loan, then yes, you have to pay it back

you are supposed to use it for school, but technically it can be spend on food, groceries, rent, or whatever else you NEED.. i wouldn't spend it on a vacation or anything..

Yes it's yours. Whatever you do not use for your books and tuition gets put into a check for you to have. I wondered the same thing a few semesters ago when I received a refund check and I actually called to make sure and it turned out that money has been designated for me or it was mine!
