i just got a deal on a 1988 dodge ram 100, but is it worth it?

Yeah its worth 500$ but make sure it runs and everything before you buy it but if the body is still good and the interior is good yeah it is worth 500
 
so the dodge ram supposedly is in great shape on the exterior and interior. it only has 52 k on it and he says it need a Cadillac converter and a new battery. so is it worth $500?
 
if he lets you test drive it and it runs fine i would totally go for it-personally i think he's lying to you about the 52k miles my van says 71k miles its a 1984 dodge van but when it reaches 99k miles it just restarts it only has 5 number slots
 
Those typically go for $4k-$6k depending on if it's a 4 or 6 cylinder. It's not a Cadillac converter, you mean catalytic converter. I would say it is worth it, an older truck with 52k is hard to find these days.
