So to start off, I'm a freshman at a top community college. Top as in best transfer rate to top four year universities in the state. I am usually (for the most part) an "A" student whose quite ambitious. I thought I got at LEAST a "B" on that midterm, but tonight when it was given back to me, I was SHOCKED! I always hated multiple choice exams because they are ALWAYS a gamble. I would've taken it as essay(s) form, but I chose multiple choice, and now I regret it. If I do well on the final, then my final exam score will double, replacing the low midterm score-- that's the policy for the class. Even though this professor is really nice, and allow your grade to improve, the fail was extremely depressing. I got a 51.2%. In the final exam, I'm most likely going to do the essay version, that way partial credit is given instead of gambling away my grade for the class. I want to add; the textbook for this class is not in chronological order, a.nd it's just in black and white print, very useless other than for info.. There's still hope for me to get an "A" in the class, but that's if I ACE the final. Please give me advice based on your personal experience, opinions, or observations. Thanks!
