i just found a samsung phone at the mall the other day , and there is a password...

...anyone know how to reset it ? i just got this phone like 3 days ago , and i don't know how to get ride of the password & i don't know the phone companys number or anything .. i just know its pay as you go & its rogers
how do i fix this ?
i'm willing to do ANYTHING , is there anyway to like deactivate it then reactivate ?
or put my old number on it , ANYTHING to get ride of the password lol
