R Robbie Guest Jan 3, 2009 #2 Depends if you changed the filter as well. I'd start by adding 4 qts. then check the oil level on the dipstick. Add more as necessary until the oil level reaches the "full" mark.

H hydrolac Guest Jan 3, 2009 #3 put a little bit of oil in the oil filter so it wont have a dry start up but you put 5 quarts of oil in the car
