Hi all

Is it really my eyes, Do I need to see a doctor. Finally, I made up me mind ( which was difficult) and went to test two DSLR Cameras, Nikon D5000 and Canon Rebel T1.

So far so good, the problem is when I looked through the viewfinder, the image was blurred, I tried to adjust the dial next to it, it became better but still not clear what is the problem?

I am so disappointed and frustrated, I was planning to buy one of the two camera and go home to take some pictures of my dogs

Yes, your eyesight is beyond the diopter settings available on each camera.

I shoot using my glasses. No problem

Luckily, cameras are auto-focus, so you can still use it until you get your new glasses

The rough guide is that if you can read a book without glasses and (can honestly legally) drive a car without glasses then adjusting the diopter on most camera viewfinders should be enough. If not then the easy way is to use your glasses while you shoot. It's possible to get a different rubber surround for the viewfinder that works better with your glasses than the standard surround, or if you really have the cash to splash get a prescription eyepiece adjustment.

The big laugh with my own camera is using the lensbaby and letting other people have a go. If they don't set the diopter correctly you end up with the center out of focus and at some distance out a ring that's in focus!
