Is that really wierd? Should I have done? Is it just the wine do you think?

I thought the Renee Zelwegger was terrific in the ending. She really is an excellent actress. Oh my god and I'm so jealous - fancy having Hugh Grant and Colin Firth fighting over you.. :o

A very good sequel. I hope they leave it there though.

Not familiar with the books but from what I saw last night it seemed like a re-hash of the first one to me as I believe many critics pointed out when it was released.

You think? My main problem was that it was that the plot so preposterous compared the the mundane charm of the first one. I well-up at most rom-coms these days. I'm getting soft in my old age.

I think they saw what worked in the first one and tried to do it again...which doesnt always work, plus according to some of my frienRAB who've read the book, stuff was left out and random new things added...why do they always do that with adaptations? I like both movies though. :D

Its quite different to the book, which was a shame. The book was great, the adding of Rebecca being in love with Bridget was ridiculous. In the book, she is actually after Mark. I don't think Daniel Cleaver even featured in the second book, they just wanted Hugh Grant back so they could do another fight scene.

This film was crap. Why didn't they just copy the book which is really funny. I didn't laugh once during the film. Also, it was very hard to believe Daniel and Darcy would be fighting over her, she looked terrible.

Far too contrived for my liking, and I don't believe for a second Darcy would have married her as he didn't even seem to like her very much. No chemistry, and no laughs.

Shame, the first one was quite good.

I did laugh, I thought it was very funny in places. Not as funny as the first film, but very funny in places, particularly towarRAB the end.

Still, that's me. Little things please little minRAB I suppose. Lucky me, eh? :)

Ah, so I'm not the only one then! :)

I was starting to feel like a total freak, although also very lucky because clearly my happiness quotient is rather higher than most of the other posters on this thread... :)

I feel exactly the same. I couldnt believe how much they had ruined the second one when I saw it. It was a desperate rehash of the first one without any of the charm.

Well I'm so glad I'm easily pleased. I loved the ending to this one. I actually thought the ending was better than No. 1. And if I stand alone I don't care because my happiness quotient is still up!
