So, I just brought home my Betta fish, Grover. He didn't want to eat, and he is just kinda swimming around then sitting in one spot. He is very bright in color and healthy-looking. He is in a 1.2 gallon aquarium with a silk plant, a little roman-looking decoration that is like 3 pillars with spaces to swim through, and a fish that sits at the bottom with its mouth open for him to hide in, and a thermometer that sits in the corner of the tank.
The water is about 74-76 degrees F (can't quite read the thermometer right). Is that a good temperature?
Im not sure if its normal for him to just sit around the first day? He is active and if I put my finger near him, on the outside of the tank of course, he swims away. So is he just nervous since he's in a new home? Also, If I take out one decoration and add a new one next time I clean the tank, will it stress him out?
Thanks! Any tips, suggestions, etc. would be really appreciated!
