i just brought a used 96' pontiac grand am.the driver side controls don't work for

three window.what can i do?
when i brought the car, i was aware that the windows didnt work.i just wanted to get other opinions on how reslove the issue.oh and i brought it from a private seller.
 
It may just be the switches on the actual controll board. After many years of use they tend to wear down and start to lose connection. You can easily take them apart and check then, they will look burnt out and black or dark.
