Yes. CCM bicycles were built in Canada, then later in Asia. The CCM stands for Canada Cycle and Motor Co. As with almost every bike of the day, their bikes were, shall we say, less than good quality by todays standards but not half bad back then, but certainly nowhere near the quality of Schwinn.
Eventually, as the Asian bike boom came to fruition CCM switched their focus to hockey equipment as the bike business floundered. I can't swear to it, but I think the CCM brand of bikes is still available but they are made in Asia.
For a time in the 1970s they sold reasonably well at the usual "non bike shop" outlets of the day alongside such venerable names as Iverson, Huffy, and Executive and were at about the same price points- between $30 and $80.
These bikes are good for fixing up and riding until they fall apart... quite without value in the used bike market.
