I just bought a Sanyo 50" Plasma HDTV today, and having issues with it?

your first problem is that it is a sanyo. so there is a good chance its defective... have you checked your inputs? you should be using hdmi, but really anything will work. change the source to whatever you have plugged in to it. if you dont even get a menu when you press buttons, then it is the tv. how did you take it home? did you lay it down? if so, the glass inside the tv is probably shattered and the tv is completely busted.
 
I just bought a Sanyo 50" Plasma HDTV today, when we set it up it would turn on and off, the screen would light up and there would be no picture or audio, could it be defective?
