...after i've washed them.? Is there a way to get rid of the smell?
I just bought a pair of jeans and they have a weird, almost old people smell even...

Try adding a cup or so of white vinegar to the rinse cycle. It won't damage the color or the fabric and it works fantastically to get odors out of clothes.
I add vinegar to almost every load of laundry I do.
And I give you my word, once the clothes are dry they do NOT smell anything like vinegar.
