I just bought a bike online should I take it to a local bike shop to look it over?

I bought a Kilo TT from bikesdirect.com. The only parts I put together were the pedals, stem, handlebars, and saddle. Should I take it to a local bike shop? and are there any dangers if I don't take it to a bike shop?
